Sensei Ronnie

Sensei

Sensei Ronnie is a lifelong student; he started with Legend at the age of 12 at Walt Whitman Jr. High School in Brooklyn where Legend was participating in community outreach program where Legend volunteered to teach the students in an after school program. At the age of 21 Sensei Ronnie joined the US Army – 82nd airborne division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served his country and was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Upon returning home he quickly returned to the Legend and continued his studies in the art. Sensei Ronnie became a member of our teaching staff in Brooklyn and now joined us in Staten Island; he has been teaching for 10 years. He loves sharing his knowledge with the students and watching them grow; their achievements are his sense of giving back to the community.
